New York, NY—I had the pleasure to attend the Kareen Borgella show with Fashionista New York Girl. K. Borgella debut her Spring 2011 line Thursday night on December 2, 2010 at the New Art Gallery in NYC.
Kareen Borgella 31, is an American based fashion designer that is receiveing high praise and golden opportunities. She has worked with lines such as Marc Ecko’s Ecko Red, J.Crew, and Armani Exchange. As if that wasn’t enough she also traveled to Italy to work alongside the Italian technicians where she gained the knowledge and skills to put her where is she today.
The K. Borgella brand is a luxury contemporary line for women. The K. Borgella Spring 2011 Collection represents women who look to make a statement, who loves color, who wants great fabrics and textures. Her collection consists of edgy but contemporary pieces that will turn heads left and right. Kareen describes her line as “feminine pieces coated with charm and character. Just and instinctive aspiration to create beautiful things for the modern day fashionista.
There were a few pieces in that collection that made everyone sit in an upright position. From sequined fabrics to beautiful accordion pleats, she had it all. Some pieces in this collection reminded me of St. Tropez; aesthetically pleasing with breath-taking views and bursts of colors that would have you fantasizing about the neighboring towns and beaches. We will be inquiring about a couple of pieces ourselves…hmmmmm….Can you guess which ones?
