For everyone who will be in the Westchester area May 6th and May 7th here is the schedule for all the fashionable fun that will take place at the Westchester Mall in White Plains, NY.
Simon Fashion Now at The Westchester kicks off on Friday, May 6 in Nordstrom Court with Trends & Friends Night, an evening of fashion, cocktails and bites beginning at 5:30 p.m. Participating retailers, including mall favorites such as Origins and Crabtree & Evelyn, will offer sampling and product demonstrations and there will be fundraising elements to benefit the Pediatric Cancer Foundation. Trends & Friends Night will offer tasty fare from P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Westchester Burger Co., Blue, Graziella’s, Lonford’s Homemade Ice Cream and signature Star Martinis at the Star Vodka Bar as well as a performance by Million Dollar Quartet, all free of charge.
Simon Fashion Now continues on Saturday, May 7 with an all day fashion extravaganza starting at 12 p.m. with Design Wars, an interactive fashion competition where I will be judging featuring students from SUNY Westchester Community College and emceed by News12 Westchester’s Tara Rosenblum. In honor of nurse’s week, professionals from White Plains Hospital will model student designs, fully stylized and accessorized looks made from hospital scrubs, as competitors vie for top runway honors. High-energy runway fashion shows will take the stage at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. The shows will introduce spring looks from Anne Fontaine, BCBG, Dooney & Bourke, Eileen Fisher, Kate Spade, Kenneth Cole, Lacoste, 7 For All Mankind, Stuart Weitzman, White House | Black Market and many more.
Shoppers can expect to see an abundance of styles for men and women ranging from casual weekend wear and stylish outfits for the office, to show-stopping looks for a night on the town. Open seating and standing room to view the runway shows are available. And, attendees will have a chance to play Ready, Set, Style!, an interactive styling competition that shows more than one way to wear a pair of jeans! Fashionistas won’t want to miss a chance to show off their personal style and compete for a chance to win this season’s hottest accessory, an American Express® Simon Giftcard®.
In addition to the runway shows, shoppers can visit Style Stops, where advice and insight into the season’s trends will be offered in an interactive format. From 12:00 to 5:00, participants can indulge in Style Stops from Aveda, Crabtree & Evelyn, Crate & Barrel, L’Occitane, M·A·C, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Nike, Origins and Swarovski.
