NEW YORK – OCTOBER 28: Janet Jackson visited 106 & Park today looking BEAUTIFUL as ever promoting the movie “For Colored Girls” an American film directed, produced, and written by Tyler Perry. It is an adaptation of Ntozake Shange’s 1975 stage play For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf.
Janet was informing young girls across the world about a very serious movement that BET and other celebrities are apart of called “Black Girls Rock” . This is a nonprofit organization, that has been dedicated to the healthy development of young women and girls. This organization seeks to build the self-esteem and self-worth of young women of color by changing their outlook on life. (Way to go BET)!!
